Choco Up is seeking a detail‑minded and resilient Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. In this role, your primary focus will be managing the accounts receivable lifecycle, ensuring timely collections, and generating accurate reports to keep management informed. What You Will Do
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and proactively initiate collection efforts via phone and email.
Maintain professional, polite, yet firm communication with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and secure payment commitments.
Prepare accurate weekly and monthly collection reports and aging summaries for management.
Match incoming payments against outstanding invoices and reconcile client accounts to ensure data integrity.
Partner closely with the sales and account management teams to resolve billing disputes and streamline the payment process.
We Are Looking For People Who Possess
1–2 years of experience in accounting, specifically within Accounts Receivable (AR) or collections.
A eagle‑eye for accuracy; you notice the small discrepancies that others miss.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution‑oriented when dealing with difficult client conversations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills—essential for negotiation and clear financial reporting.
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero, SAP, or Oracle) is a plus.
