Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager, Record to Report, to oversee general accounting operations from a controlling and reporting perspective within Ralph Lauren Asia Pacific. The role involves managing books for APAC entities, reconciling accounts, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end closing procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, sound accounting knowledge, and experience leading finance teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting tasks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the General Ledger, Fixed Asset, and Lease modules, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Complete monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
Partner with FP&A to support the month-end close process.
Review monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, internal management reports, and corporate financial reporting packs.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
Review intercompany invoices, reports, and reconciliations, investigating out-of-balance cases.
Collaborate with markets, primarily US Head Office, Europe, South Korea, Japan, and Mainland China, on intercompany transactions.
Participate in projects and system enhancements related to intercompany processes.
Liaise with external auditors and manage audit-related activities.
Assist in process improvements and systems enhancement initiatives.
Identify and implement initiatives to improve efficiency.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
HKICPA or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
Experience working for a sizable multinational corporation, preferably in a commercial and retail organization across Asia-Pacific.
Attention to detail and accuracy in task execution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot, functions).
Knowledge of finance systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives and team members.
Ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks and deadlines.
