Job Description
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project “Establishment of an Exergaming Research Centre (ERC) for Healthy Aging” (Project no.: R6586). The role involves supporting recruitment, data collection, blood sampling, and any other duties determined by the project team.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Recruit participants for research projects.
Collect data and input data for research projects.
Draw blood for research projects.
Undertake other duties as determined by project team members or managers.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competence
For technical assistant: at least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics.
For research assistant II: a bachelor’s degree in the broad area of Biological, Health or Physical Sciences (e.g., Biology, Nursing) preferred.
Certification for phlebotomy is a must.
Good command of Chinese and English.
Previous experience in programming or data collection.
Preference for those with experience in handling biological specimens or working with human subjects for research studies.
Duration of Appointment
The candidate will work no more than 17 hours per week for the period between Nov 2025 and Dec 2026.
Terms and Conditions for Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part‑time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with statutory provisions.
