The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic, high-calibre and experienced marketing professional to join our Service Promotion Department.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and execute promotional activities for different projects, including an anchor conference on health innovation and investment in Hong Kong and other overseas/mainland promotions
Recruit quality Hong Kong and overseas investors and start-ups/ project owners to join the anchor conference and arrange deal-making and business matching activities as well as other healthcare related promotional activities
Handle deal-making / business matching related success stories reporting, publicity, budget planning
Liaise and coordinate with HKTDC Branch Offices, local multipliers and external parties to solicit support from sponsors, industry institutions, business associations, individual companies to participate in our events
Handle and supervise the event logistical issues such as arrangement of exhibition, venue setup and management of vendors etc.
Monitor global market developments and industry trends of the healthcare sector
Handle other assignments, on-site support and other administrative support as and when necessary
Requirements:
A recognised university degree with at least 8 years’ working experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; exhibition/event organisation or public/corporate relations, etc.
Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena covering various industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; knowledge of a third language an advantage
Mature with superior skills in sales, marketing and communication
A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability
Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure
Knowledge of healthcare related services sectors and previous experience in organising events and conferences an added advantage
Candidates with less solid experience will be offered at Assistant Manager, Service Promotion
Remuneration and Benefits:
The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
