For applicants applying for the robotic research track, they are preferred to have experience in: Robot control and system development; Vision and graphics; Machine learning and deep learning; Software design and development. Good programming skills are highly preferred. For applicants applying for the human-centered research track, they are preferred to have experience in: Human subject testing; Data analytics; Human factor/ergonomics research. Skills in functional near-infrared spectroscopy (f NIRS) and electroencephalogram (EEG) are highly preferred. Responsibilities: Develop and evaluate 3 D vision techniques for environment understanding, including human body reconstruction and tracking, scene understanding, and video analytics. Develop and evaluate novel interactive interfaces with AR/VR technologies for human-robot collaborations. Develop and evaluate motion planning algorithms for complex robotic manipulation for textile assembly. Invent and evaluate benchmarks for human-robot collaboration tasks in the garment industry. Work in close collaboration with researchers from partner institutions. Integrate the developed algorithms, techniques, and hardware to the system prototype, and contribute to human-robot collaboration showcases with our collaborators from the garment industry.
