Database Administrator (Lead Consultant) - ICClient Description Regional IT services and solutions provider Job Description Design, plan, document, implement, and maintain the production database system. Undertake daily database administration, monitoring, and improve database performance and capacity. Assist the application development & maintenance team in design, testing, troubleshooting, and addressing database performance issues. Build database schema, tables, procedures, permissions, and encryptions. Create shell scripts for task automation. Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements. Analyze, consolidate, and tune the database for optimal performance. Deploy and oversee backup, restore, clustering, mirroring, replication, and failover processes. Develop and implement the recovery procedure for all databases. Provide 24/7 support for high severity incidents. Research the latest database technologies, evaluate, and recommend new database tools. Provide training and support on database-related topics. Support system & infrastructure implementation on projects. Job Requirements Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines is a MUST. A minimum of 7-10 years solid experience and knowledge in RDBMS technologies including database encryption and operating systems (Unix/Linux, Windows). Solid experience in Oracle 11g RAC or above & MSSQL 2008 or above. OCP/MSSQL Certified; knowledge of DB2 is a plus. Strong working knowledge and solid experience in database activities. Experience in Exadata administration, virtualization, RAID architectures, storage networking, and enterprise backup solutions is preferred. Proficiency in both spoken and written Mandarin & English to interact with internal staff and external vendors to ensure effective collaboration. Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
