The Enterprise Testing Analyst will be working with IT Solution Centre teams to develop test plans for Performance Testing, as well as to maintain and enforce processes and standards for both internal and external testing resources to ensure deliverables are of high quality and compliant to CX quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in Pre and Post-PI Planning events and in backlog refinement to define performance and Non-Functional test backlog items.Design, implement and execute end-to-end performance tests against NFR’s and provide analysis to System and Solution Architects/Engineering in identifying system shortfalls and bottlenecks with aim to improve application quality.Co-ordinate and support Agile & support teams to ensure the deliverables are of high quality and compliant to CX policies and standards Contribute and provide training and coaching of Shift-left Non-functional testing in performance engineering and operational acceptance test disciplines to ART.Monitor and control Performance testing being planned and executed on all projects ensuring that each produces test results of progress against time and quality, defects severity, distribution and priority rating, impact assessments, trends over the project etc.Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute performance test suites for various applicationsResearch and document defects following CX standard defect management processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problemIdentify and escalate (as required) issues associated with/during testingCollaborate with other ARTs, IT System Teams, CoP, etc to drive business and technology innovation Keep abreast of the latest trends in enabling technologies (e.g. Cloud Computing, Non-Functional Testing tools, AI, Blockchain) and understand the implication to software testing methodsRequirementsTertiary qualifications or above is essentialA minimum of 4 years of IT experience with hands-on experience in end-to-end Performance Testing with different delivery methodologies Waterfall/Agile/Agile@ScaleProven experience in Performance Testing tools and one or more programming / scripting languages (MF LoadRunner, Performance Center, Apache JMeter, ANSI C, C, Java, etc) with experience in software development, infrastructure, resiliency and high-availability testing advantageous.Good understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of using different testing technique, like load test, stress test, endurance test under various conditions to identify system bottlenecksExperience in metrics collection and analysis both at the user interface level, application/middleware database component levels and system levelValidating test results through diagnosis and analysis of various system/application error logs, transaction metrics, as well as database performance logsAbility to listen and articulate ideas verbally and in written formats to a broad range of audiences;Ability to ask probing questions and deliver presentations solution demo that have impactWell-developed analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideasFocus on the end user’s or customer’s needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviourProactive and willing to drive changes to achieve positive outcomesGood business domain and industry knowledgeExcellent in written and spoken English with good command of Cantonese and Mandarin preferredCertification of ISTQB/PMP/CISA/ITIL is an advantageCertified of SAFe® Agilist is an advantageApplication Deadline: 1 Dec 2023 Personal & Application InformationCathay Pacific is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
