As the Art Basel Center Team, we act as general contractors for national and international fairs — delivering complex projects across production, operations, and logistics with precision and impact. Your responsibilities As Exhibitor Manager, you are the primary liaison for galleries at our global art fairs, working in close collaboration with their Gallery Project Managers (GPMs). You will guide galleries/GPMs from concept through completion, ensuring technical needs, design elements, and logistical requirements are translated into well-executed, high-quality solutions. Your role spans project planning and quotations, execution on-site, and post-show reconciliation, delivering a seamless, premi-um experience at every stage. Pre-Event Planning & Project Development Act as the main point of contact for exhibitors and their GPMs, managing inquiries and translating creative and technical requirements into actionable solutions. Oversee the full project lifecycle—from initial gallery briefings to final approvals. Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical drawings and floorplans, incorporating all exhibitor specifications. Generate detailed quotes and budgets, ensure timely approval processes, and secure confirmations to proceed. Advise galleries on suitable solutions for lighting, flooring, wall finishes, and custom elements, balancing aesthetics, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness. On-Site Implementation Supervise on-site installation and construction, coordinating closely with suppliers and internal teams. Monitor timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure deliverables meet or exceed gallery expectations. Troubleshoot issues proactively and maintain consistent communication with exhibitors during build-up and handover. Post-Event Wrap-Up Oversee the dismantling process, ensuring efficient and organized breakdown of gallery stands. Lead final reconciliations, including the review of delivered services, cost validation, and invoicing. Cross-Functional Collaboration Maintain strong alignment with Project Lead, production, logistics, and account teams to ensure cohesive execution. Serve as a central communication hub between galleries, internal stakeholders, and external partners throughout all project phases. National and international travel activities of up to 6 weeks spread over the whole year in Europe, USA, Asia, as well as occasional project-related weekend work. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse teams. Open-minded and flexible, with a proactive ap-proach to problem-solving. Technical Skills Strong technical skills required, including proficiency in Auto CAD for layout and technical drawing preparation; experience with Revit or Sketch Up is a plus. Must be confident using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and adaptable to digital platforms for project management, collaboration, and documentation. Your profile You have a profound business education (University or comparable) with and/or project- or event-oriented further education. Or you are a professional with a comparable educational background (E.g. Interior Design, Event Management, Architecture, structural engineering, construction management, etc)Ideally, you have experience in managing national and international projects and are experienced in dealing with challenging customers You have a strong ability to make decisions, prioritize tasks and remain calm under stress You have a strong spatial awareness and are forward-thinking You enjoy working in international, interdisciplinary teams and complete your tasks in a structured and goal-oriented manner, regardless of your location You appreciate flexible working hours and the free work scheduling across time zones You are capable of multi-tasking and maintaining attention to detail under pressure You have a hands-on and practical approach to project execution and problem-solving A background in booth design, event production, or construction management is a strong plus Fluent in English (writing and speaking). Any other languages are a benefit.
