Head of Engineering
Location: Hong Kong or Shenzhen
About the Opportunity
Global enterprise b2b2 C Enterprise Saa S company has won a number of enterprise contracts and is looking for an Engineering lead. We’re looking for a hands‑on leader leaning more towards a front‑end focus, where this person will be responsible for system design across both front and back end and be supported by a team of 6–7 engineers (FE, BE, Architect, Dev Ops, etc).
What this person will do:
Drive modern engineering best practices to improve delivery speed and quality
Enhance team velocity, remove delivery blockers, and run daily stand‑ups, POCs, and technical reviews
Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Dev Ops
Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability in collaboration with Dev Ops
Travel weekly to Shenzhen and work across HK / China teams
Tech stack (strong front‑end emphasis):
Frontend: React.js, Next.js, Type Script, Angular JS, PHP
What they need:
8+ years in engineering leadership with strong hands‑on experience
Strong front‑end engineering and system design background
Experience influencing back‑end architecture and APIs
Proven experience leading distributed teams
Solid AWS and Kubernetes knowledge
Comfortable balancing technical leadership with hands‑on problem‑solving
Fluent Cantonese & Mandarin (spoken and written), communication in English with other stakeholders
