Job Description - Assistant Engineer, Electrical & Mechanical (240826) Assistant Engineer, Electrical & Mechanical - ( 240826 ) This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance. Responsibilities: Assist in executing design, planning, tender preparation, implementation and management of various Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) projects within budget and schedule requirement Assist in providing advice on technical and quality issues on engineering works of Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)Review and comment on contractors’ submissions on method statement, site management plan and programme, etc. Identify design and construction issues and liaise with maintenance and operation teams to provide effective solutions Assist in management and supervision of works and coordinate with maintenance and operation teams to ensure timely delivery and completion of works Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure the works are conducted in safe and efficient manner with minimal impact on daily airport operations Ensure new engineering works are in compliance with the latest design codes and practices, the Authority’s requirements and relevant statutory requirements Requirements: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 3 years’ working experience in engineering or maintenance of large scale system facilities Proactive, result-oriented and able to work independently Team player with good interpersonal, coordination and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
