Direct message the job poster from Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)Recruiter at Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)Associate Director (EFIO) (Data Strategy) - Solution Engineering Key Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation and support of data solution for different business teams in the Exchange Fund Investment Office (EFIO), from collection, transformation, analysis, reporting to visualization Hands-on design and develop solution covering areas of data ingestion, ETL/ELT, advanced analytics, reporting and workflow automation Participate in data architecture and data modelling work to ensure solutions align with overall organizational direction Maintain effective communication with stakeholders by providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues Keep abreast of relevant technological advancements, development of industry standards and best practices for system and process improvement Requirements University degree in computer science, engineering, data science or related fields with a multitude of computer science courses. Postgraduate degree preferred At least 3 years of experiences in both data solution and application development, with experience in a team leadership and technical management role, preferably in the financial industry or public sector Solid experience in leading multiple-phase software engineering / integration projects and delivering technical solutions, with good understanding of software architecture principles Proficiency in programming and data tools (e.g. Python, R, shell script, SQL, Excel VBA) and experience in ETL/ELT tools, data lake, data warehouse and data pipeline Experience in software development lifecycle, release management and change management Experience in data analytics, data modelling in an enterprise setting Experience/exposure in tools such as Ui Path, Airflow, S&P Enterprise Data Management solution a plus Familiarity with financial instruments, financial trading workflow, system infrastructure, machine learning and data architecture a definite advantage Excellent communication skills to clearly deliver technical concepts to other technical teams, business stakeholders and management team Exposure in drafting and aligning technical initiatives / strategies with organizational objectives and business needs Good business acumen and attention to detail and accuracy Conditions of service Appointment will be made on fixed contract terms A competitive remuneration package will be offered.
