Associate Director, Finance Manager(Construction)
Company Overview
Our client is a leading player in the construction industry, seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Manager with a strong background in construction finance. The successful candidate will oversee complex group consolidation processes, manage financial reporting, and provide strategic financial guidance for large-scale engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
Group Consolidation Management: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the group and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with HKFRS/IFRS and other latest accounting standards.
Project Financial Monitoring: Supervise cost analysis, project quoting, percentage-of-completion for revenue recognition, subcontractor accounts handling, and cash flow forecasting for construction projects.
Taxation & Audit: Coordinate group tax planning, liaise with external auditors to complete annual audits, and ensure compliance with related requirements.
Internal Controls & Process Optimization: Establish and enhance financial control processes tailored to construction operations, improving efficiency, risk management, and operational effectiveness.
Strategic Decision Support: Deliver accurate financial analysis and reports to management, supporting tender evaluations, feasibility assessments for new projects, and financing decisions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; CPA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in complex group consolidation.
At least 8 years of financial management experience, with proven exposure to construction, engineering, or real estate industries.
Strong knowledge of construction‑related taxation, project costing/quoting, subcontractor accounts, construction accounting, and percentage‑of‑completion calculations.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills; fluent in Cantonese and English. Mandarin proficiency will be an advantage.
Experience in ERP system implementation or upgrade (SAP, Oracle, or construction‑specific ERP) is preferred.
Prior working experience in a listed company is preferred.
Prior exposure to managing financial accounts for large joint venture projects is definitely an advantage.
