Building Teams for Asset Managers, Hedge Funds and HFTs Position Description Our client is seeking an Associate Director with 7-8 years of experience to lead deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio management, focusing on the new energy, new materials, and advanced manufacturing sectors. This full-time position is based in Hong Kong. Responsibilities Formulate and execute investment strategies in targeted industrial sectors that align with the organization’s and fund’s objectives. Identify and source high-quality investment opportunities through various channels while remaining informed about industry trends and emerging technologies. Oversee the deal sourcing process by assessing potential investment targets and conducting comprehensive due diligence. Manage and support portfolio companies to enhance value creation, including developing effective exit strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution and engage with investors to facilitate successful fundraising efforts. Structure and negotiate investment terms, working closely with legal advisors to finalize transaction agreements. Prepare detailed investment memos, financial models, and presentations for prospective investment opportunities. Conduct thorough industry research, evaluate new investment prospects, and engage with management teams of target companies. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline; an MBA or CFA designation is preferred. A minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience in private equity, with a strong preference for candidates demonstrating leadership capabilities. Proven expertise in deal sourcing, negotiations, structuring, and executing investment transactions. Strong track record in executing private equity investments, with robust financial analysis and modeling skills. Highly motivated team player with a strong sense of responsibility and discipline. Mature, reliable, and capable of working independently while effectively managing their own schedule. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese is essential.
