About the job Job Title: Business Development Manager - Employee Benefits Industry: Insurtech / Insurance / Saa SLocation: Hong Kong Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Managerto join a regional leading insurtech company with a focus on Employee Benefits/Group Insurance.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and acquiring new clients, driving revenue growth through proactive prospecting and solution-based selling.
You will combine strong business development capabilities with insurance expertise to convert opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
What You'll Do: Identify, prospect, and engage new clients (mainly brokers and agents), building a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Lead the end-to-end new customer acquisition process, from initial outreach and discovery through solution presentation and deal closure.
Act as a consultative seller, understanding client needs and positioning the platform's value proposition effectively.
Drive opportunities forward by addressing objections, managing stakeholders, and negotiating commercial terms.
Collaborate with Product and Marketing to refine go-to-market strategies and win new accounts.
Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in employee insurance to inform client conversations and sales strategy.
What We're Looking For:5-8 years of experience in business development or account management in Insurance, TPA or Brokerages with a focus on employee benefits/group insurance Strong new business development and prospecting skills, with the ability to identify, engage, and convert corporate prospects.
Good understanding of group insurance landscape in the market with ability to position value propositions to key players.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with confidence engaging decision-makers.
Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline, prioritize high-value opportunities, and drive deals through to closure.
