We are looking for a Chief Engineer based at Island Shangri-La Hong Kong!As a Chief Engineer, we rely on you to: Ensure preventive maintenance schedules, engineering maintenance requests, and new work orders are performed Oversee and manage hotel repair, maintenance work & FLS functions Provide a monthly working plan to Department Head to ensure all equipment and facilities are running effectively and smoothly Inspect daily all plant rooms, kitchens, outlets and record any defects for rectification Ensure that the hotel FLS systems comply with local fire safety codes and regulations Plan and implement FLS systems inspection, testing, and maintenance Supervise hotel fire and smoke compartments, including all escape ways Provide departmental training / Fire and Life Safety training to internal staff We are looking for someone who has: Degree holder or above in Building Service, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline A minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Building / Hotel operations Familiarity with government ordinances and regulations Recognized certification in performing fire safety engineering Strong leadership, interpersonal, and training skills Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese All information provided by applicants will be treated in strict confidence and used only for recruitment purposes.
