Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Data Engineer to join our Data Services Team in Hong Kong or Singapore. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of our global data service team, mainly responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data processes and data infrastructures for quantitative research and trading. Responsibilities Collaborating with portfolio managers, researchers and traders to understand their data requirements and to find data solutions Onboarding and managing vendor datasets used extensively in Tower trading and research platforms Designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure necessary to support the firm's data management processes, including storage, compute, and networking resources Building and maintaining ETL pipelines Contributing to the design and development of Tower data platform Designing and implementing data quality checks Monitoring data processes and data health, participating in on-call rotation, proactively solving data related problems Supporting internal data users (Traders, Researchers)Qualifications Master's in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance or Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience At least 2+ years of experience in Python Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, and database design principles Familiarity with database systems such as SQL Server, Postgre SQL, or My SQLExperience with CI/CD processes and Dev Ops Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work autonomy as part of a global team Plus - Proficient in AI/ML techniques for detecting patterns and anomalies Plus - Knowledge of referential data and corporate actions Plus - Experience in building scalable data systems Good to Have Strong AI/ML skills for pattern and anomaly detection Experience with CI/CD processes and Dev Ops Expertise in scalable data systems Experience in the financial/trading sector Benefits Tower continues to enhance the in-house trading system and strategies that have positioned the firm as a leader in the thriving field of quantitative trading.
