Director, Fixed Income Sales, Fixed Income Key Areas of Responsibilities Define and lead the buildout of CLSA’s target client base in OTC macro derivatives trading. Work closely with Rates FX traders in Hong Kong and Beijing to identify core liquidity participants for our product focus areas and help to market and pitch to prospects and clients on our product capabilities and offerings. Proactively liaise with trading desks to understand market color for each FICC product and build specialized product knowledge to continue to grow into a seasoned leader for Rates FX Sales with the opportunity to hire juniors to help further build up the Rates FX Sales desk at CLSA. Work closely with other internal business divisions and affiliates (e.g. IE, IBD, AM, CSB, etc.) to promote and help develop their clients’ access to our Rates FX products. Also be proactively conducting training to our internal divisions and other FICC Sales in HK and Beijing to help widen our channels of selling. Comply with relevant firm policies and regulatory requirements in relation to selling conduct and practice. Requirements Bachelor or above degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Quantitative science or a related field. At least 9 years of front line experience in Sales and/or Trading gained through a Bank or a Securities house. Attained all required regulatory qualifications to carry out the necessary licensed activities. Exceptional understanding of FICC macro products and offshore client needs and the necessary liquidity channels for them. Strong ability to lead and direct resources within a Sales and Trading organization. Able to operate Bloomberg and other public trading venues especially in Rates & FX products. A strong team player and hardworking to be prepared to train juniors to help support the sales desk. Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese or Putonghua).
