JobsDB – Hong Kong's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site JobsDB Login For employers Job search Profile Career advice Search Jobs Facilities Manager, Facilities Management Office (TWC/23/288/FMO/FM) Tung Wah College Yau Ma Tei Posted on 16-Nov-23 Apply Now Facilities Manager, Facilities Management Office (TWC/23/288/FMO/FM) Tung Wah College Apply Now Job Highlights Manage and supervise all capital building works Conduct regular building inspection Prepare maintenance schedule Job Description Duties The appointee will be required but not limited to: assist and support the Head of Facilities Management Office in supervising a team of supporting staff, as well as liaison with different units within and outside the College; manage and supervise all capital building works in meeting the required quality standard, work programme and cost control; conduct regular building inspection and checking to identify any defects for rectification; prepare maintenance schedule for all the repair & maintenance works to upkeep the building fabric and building services in good working conditions; assess and plan the College’s long-term space requirements and prepare in-situ expansion and extension plans; prepare building proposals for annual capital projects submissions and feasibility studies / sketch plans for senior management approval; liaise with external consultants for the preparation of plans, specifications and check on consultants’ proposals; rationalize and re-organize the space disposition of the campus in accordance with the changing academic requirements; prepare tender documents and RFQ for procurement exercise; arrange for and monitor the furnishing and fitting out of campuses; supervise the day-to-day repair & maintenance works; perform cost planning, cost estimating, cost analysis and cost control; perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Facilities Management Office; and work on irregular hours including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays when necessary. Requirements Applicants should: possess a master’s degree in Building Surveying / Project Management / Architectural Studies / Building Studies or related discipline; be qualified professional surveyor , registered architect. professional engineer or equivalent would be an advantage; have at least 8 years of relevant working experience in Building Maintenance Works / Alteration and Addition Works / Properties Development / Project Management; have comprehensive knowledge of Building Ordinance, costing, contract arrangement; have broad knowledge and understanding of real estate disciplines (architecture, construction, space planning and engineering, etc.); be knowledgeable about real estate law and related documents (leases, contracts etc.); have competence to control and manage cost / budget; be self-motivated and be able to work independently; have good leadership, interpersonal, communication and coordination skills; have good report writing skills; and have ability to prioritize and schedule tasks and work in a team environment. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
