Job Description Summary: This position is part of the Strategy and Relationship Management team responsible for increasing the firm's assets under management through the development of new relationships and expanding existing relationships.

He/she will be involved in supporting the Hong Kong-based Asia Relationship team.

Asia / Australia & New Zealand Primary Functions & Essential Responsibilities: Provide support to Asia Relationship Management ("RM") team Responsible for tracking all meetings with investors and prospects, including maintenance of Salesforce system, distribution of conference and meeting notes, and other organizational tasks related to supporting Asia RM team Participate in client meetings and track feedback on all Ares funds Interact with investment professionals and product managers regularly to track recent developments, portfolio performance, and fundraising progress / plans Support Senior RMs by in their coverage by responding to investor inquiries and data requests Participate in internal weekly meetings including but not limited to: Global Relationship Management Call, Asia RM weekly meeting Organize client lists and help track and update prospects for all Ares strategies Gather market intelligence and research on markets, industry trends, and new potential clients This position will initially have an Investor Operations focus with the potential to develop into a junior Relationship Manager Education/Certification: Undergraduate degree Required Knowledge: Alternative investment products and services Corporate finance & accounting Required Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of analyst program at a traditional or alternatives asset manager or placement agent, et al.

Skills/Abilities: Native in English, fluency in one of local languages preferred ie Mandarin, Cantonese, Malaysian Technical skills, proficient with MS Office and ideally Salesforce / CRM experience Strong oral and written communication skills Problem solver and proactive solution provider Takes initiative, enthusiastic, and strong work ethic Highly motivated with the ability to set priorities, multi task, and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines Reporting Relationships Head of Asia Relationship Management There is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity.
