Principal Responsibilities
Maintain the methodology and integrity of HSIL’s equity index products through addressing regulatory changes, market developments and stakeholder consultation.
Conduct periodic constituent reviews on the equity indexes.
Review the methodologies of Hang Seng Family of Indexes to ensure they meet required standards and governance.
Collaborate with sales teams to pitch index offerings to potential clients or users.
Support new index development and research, including preparing proposals and back‑testing calculations.
Research innovative techniques applied in index development.
Qualifications
University degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Analysis, Statistics or related disciplines.
Proven years of relevant experience in equity indexes, financial markets or analytics.
Familiarity with the Hong Kong and Mainland Chinese stock markets.
Strong quantitative skills and knowledge of derivatives strategies.
Proficiency with Excel, VBA, Python, SQL and Bloomberg/Refinitiv/Fact Set/Wind.
Excellent research, presentation and communication skills.
Resilience and ability to work responsibly in a dynamic environment.
Fluency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua.
Ownership mindset and independent working capability.
Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under HKIB are advantageous.
