Report to the EVP and lead a team of over 150 Finance professionalsProvide strategic leadership and assume overall managerial responsibilities on a broad spectrum of functions of the Finance Office, including budgeting, accounting, treasury management and investment, payroll, retirement schemes administration, tendering and procurement, insurance policies, company secretary, subsidiaries management, financial reporting and risk management etc.Advise the Council, President, Executive Vice President and Central Management on all aspects of the budget management, resources allocation and utilization, financial planning and management as well as assurance of the UniversityServe as Secretary to a number of major Council and University committeesPrepare the University and consolidated annual budget, triennial estimates and annual budget reviews and those of its subsidiariesOversee financial planning and forecast, cash flow and working capital management, and budgetary control with scenario analysis to assure financial sustainability of the UniversityClosely monitor investment landscape and oversee the performance of internally managed funds and external investment managers to maximise investment returns to the UniversityAdminister the retirement schemes of the University, manage the retirement funds and monitor the investments on behalf of the TrusteesManage the financial operations and matters of the self-financed operations and subsidiaries of the UniversityProvide professional inputs on the financial and governance matters relating to technology commercialization and startup investmentServe as a member of the Board of Directors of a number of subsidiaries in Hong Kong and the Chinese MainlandSafeguard integrity of financial reports for the University and funding bodiesImplement innovative and efficient financial systems and processes to optimize operational efficiency of the functionPerform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Vice President or her delegates or the Central Management of the University from time to timePosition RequirementsUniversity graduate with a recognized degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related disciplinesAt least 20 years of relevant experiences with a qualification in AccountingExtensive relevant professional and management experience at senior level in sizable organizationsPreferably with relevant experience in higher education institutions/ publicly funded organizations in Hong KongWell-connected with the financial services sector, legal and relevant professional bodiesAn inspiring and innovative leader who has managed a sizable team beforePossess strong analytical skills with excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skillsGood understanding of the local and global investment markets, preferably with experience in investment management administrationHigh proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and preferably Mandarin)Interested individuals can apply now and send CV to Vivian Wong at Vivian.wong@connectedgroup.com for more information.
