Equity Long Short Analyst Family Office. Global Equities Our client is a leading Family Office who are looking for an Analyst to work alongside an experienced PM to assist with coverage of Cyclical/Industrials stocks globally (US, Japan, Korea & Europe). Anyone with sectoral experience of equity long short investing can be considered for this role. The PM has a highly fundamental investment approach so candidates will be required to do in-depth analysis of stocks. This is not a platform fund so there is opportunity for longer holds and less trading frequency of ideas. The candidate should ideally come from a similar hedge fund environment and be familiar with fundamental & value investing. Long only candidates could be considered; however, those who cover technology now are not a strong fit. Exposure to GLOBAL equities is highly preferred. Candidates who cover Industrials/Cyclicals sectors on the buy side will be best placed. Current Global or regional coverage is very important. Single country analysts are not a fit for this role. Sub sectors which are of interest include: Capital Goods, Commodities, Autos, Manufacturing, smartphone components, aerospace, defence, etc. They should have 2-6 years of experience in equity long short investing from a hedge fund or long only. Total experience should not exceed 6 years. No specific language requirement. A flexible and adaptive personality open to working in a startup style environment is extremely important as this is a lean and hands-on team. Must be currently based in HK with the right to work here. Coverage will be primarily US/Japan/Europe, both internal trading and external managers.
