Our client is a prestigious Family Office who runs a Global Long/Short Equities and Long-biased Credit fund. They seek a talented junior/mid level analyst with a generalist profile to augment their existing team. Candidates from FIG (Financial Institutions Groups) are of particular interest.
Role Summary
They are seeking a highly intellectual, detail-oriented, and globally minded Generalist/Financials Analyst /Macro Strategist who will work directly with the CIO, supporting the full investment process across global public equities and credit.
This is a noncoverage, generalist role ideal for someone with a passion for deep fundamental research and a strong grasp of macroeconomic and thematic drivers influencing global capital markets.
The analyst will not manage capital or own risk initially, but is expected to formulate independent views, challenge consensus thinking, and deliver rigorous, actionable investment research. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of intellectual curiosity, humility, and analytical precision, with a deep understanding of business models, capital structures, and valuation frameworks.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years total experience
At least 2 years on the sell-side (with a preference for Investment Banking or Equity Research)
Ideally additional 3 years on the buy-side (hedge fund, long-only, equity fund)
Candidates with FIG experience from IBD
Financials Pan Asia Equity Analysts at the 5 year range
Candidates with a CFA Charter
Functional Skills
Exceptional financial modeling and valuation expertise
Strong writing and presentation skills; ability to distill complex ideas into clear investment theses
Deep familiarity with Bloomberg, Fact Set, Cap IQ, Excel, and other research tools
Understanding of accounting nuances, forecasting, and cash flow reconciliation
Mental Framework & Intangibles
Global mindset with capacity to analyze companies and industries across jurisdictions and regulatory regimes
High intellectual curiosity with a “first principles” mindset
Strong pattern recognition and second-order thinking
Willingness to challenge assumptions and improve decision‑making frameworks

Performance Expectations
Deliver thorough, self‑contained research packs that can be directly acted upon by the CIO without additional validation
Generate insights that reflect depth over breadth, and clarity over complexity
Maintain a high signal‑to‑noise ratio in all work products
Demonstrate the ability to form and defend a view, even in the absence of immediate capital allocation
