Description

Responsibilities: Ensuring that the financial and accounting operations of the Hong Kong office are operated in compliance with company policies and local statutory requirements. Leading a small team of 2 direct reports, in charge of daily accounting operations, monthly and annual Management Reporting for P&L performance of the Hong Kong office. Supporting the Regional Director in Management Reporting, which includes budgeting, OPEX and CAPEX management, financial forecasting, ensuring forecast accuracy, and delivery of results accordingly. Managing additional statutory accounting for the Hong Kong entity, including accounting, intercompany charging and settlement among companies within the group, monthly closing, yearly closing, handling external auditors during the yearly financial audit, statutory filing, and responding to Inland Revenue and other regulatory bodies. In charge of office administration of Hong Kong in three locations, supporting the Regional Director in organizing initiatives for staff engagement, staff recreation, business continuity planning, and maintenance. Independently managing financial statements of Hong Kong and Taiwan. Making decisions on admin expenses and other OPEX spending in accordance with budget. Escalating for advice on complicated auditing issues. Providing next-level endorsement for financial reports and forecasting. Approving actions in accordance with the empowerment framework. Conducting credit assessment approvals. Managing procurement PO/SO approvals. Job Requirements: Degree in Finance or Accounting, Chartered Accountant ACCA, Auditing trained. At least 10 years of experience in Accounting and Finance at a managerial level in MNCs, preferably with IT/Telco companies background. Ability to communicate with internal stakeholders from different departments and external stakeholders like IR authorities and auditors. Understanding the implications of business changes on revenue, cost structure, and financial performance. Good communication and collaboration skills in managing expectations from internal and external stakeholders. Strong negotiation skills with external suppliers. Able to work independently and collaborate well with colleagues from different functions locally or regionally. High proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal, is a must. Sound knowledge of tax regulations. Ability to understand financial reports and credit assessments.
