Head of Export & Agency Finance (ECA) Asia, MD3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Talent & Culture, Asia Corporate & Investment Banking at BBVAResponsibilities Reporting to the Global Head of Export & Agency finance at BBVA group level, the successful candidate will be responsible to lead and manage the team for arranging, structuring and executing complex large-scale Export & Agency finance mandates (transactions covered by ECAs, Multilaterals and private insurers) with corporates, sovereign and public sector entities and project finance structures. Main responsibilities will be: Defining the overall strategy for the business line in Asia Manage a team of highly skilled professionals Actively contributing to the origination and execution of Export & Agency finance mandates Leading and supporting the team at his/her charge in the analysis of projects (feasibility, risks); identification of key issues and proposal of improvements to achieve successful financing and supporting the approval in business and risk committees Negotiation with borrowers, exporters and financing institutions related to the terms & conditions applicable to the transaction and financial document clauses Actively engage with ECAs, Multilaterals and private insurers in the approval process Supervision of financing documentation (contracts) and management of insurance policies in collaboration with Legal services and/or external law firms Preparation of Information Memos and Lender Presentations for lead role opportunities and coordination of bank meetings Position Requirements Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Export & Agency finance deals or a comparable background in investment banking or other industry. Proven experience in winning and executing large scale mandates and/or lead arranging positions with main ECAs, specifically with knowledge about main Asian ECAs (Sinosure, KEXIM, K-Sure, JBIC, NEXI)Preferable knowledge and experience in ECA project finance structures Business School/University degree in economics or business administration, law, or engineering Fluency in English, other languages advantageous (Spanish, Korean, Chinese)Structured and organized, strong analytical skills Well balanced team player International mindset Goal oriented individual with initiative and leadership Client focus Lateral thinker who likes to come up with outside-the-box solutions Seniority level Director Employment type Full-time Job function Finance Industries Banking and Investment Banking
