Principal Responsibilities As an ESG Finance Business Manager, you will contribute to HSBC’s sustainability objectives by championing data-driven initiatives that enhance sustainable investment decisions. What you will do Champion ESG insights Lead the design and delivery of insightful ESG management information (MI) for insurance business, ensuring automated, accurate and compelling analysis. Shape the future of ESG metrics by partnering with business stakeholders to develop and refine commercial drivers and controls, aligning with both internal and external reporting standards. Reimagine reporting through automation, robust data governance, and enhanced controls to meet regulatory and disclosure needs with confidence. Inspire collaboration and leadership Collaborate with colleagues globally, driving integration and timely delivery across multiple time zones. Shape the conversation with senior management and subject matter experts, translating complex technical concepts into impactful and actionable insights. Ignite continuous improvement, bringing new ideas, challenging the status quo, and developing strategies that strengthen ESG reporting and investment for the long haul. Accelerate project delivery and engage diverse stakeholders Own the big picture through project governance, providing regular updates, guiding steering committees and ensuring timely resolution of key actions. Perform centralised user acceptance testing activities and champion smooth adoption of solutions across global teams. Pioneer data and technology transformation Be the catalyst that bridges the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, crafting data dictionaries and functional designs that power next generation analytics. Drive innovation in designing large-scale data solutions-like data lakes, warehouses, or meshes- on cloud platforms.
