IT Project Manager (Remote, Flexible Hours)Role Overview We are seeking a strategic and pragmatic IT Project Manager with strong solutions architecture expertise to lead a multi-phase digital transformation program.
The primary goal is to optimize core operations across our asset management, fund operations, and a new health technology business line.
You will be responsible for providing strategic technical advisory to the client on system selection and design, and for orchestrating the end-to-end delivery of integrated solutions across three key modules: Standard Operations (OA/HR), CRM, and highly customized Investment Operations systems.
This role requires a leader who can architect scalable solutions, drive a phased, MVP-focused approach, and ensure technology decisions deliver tangible business value.
Key Responsibilities Provide architectural advisory: Evaluate, recommend, and advise the client on the optimal mix of Saa S platforms, custom development, and integrated systems to meet diverse business needs across all modules.
Own the planning and execution of a complex, multi-stream implementation following a phased, quick-win strategy with regular reality checks.
Lead discovery and design workshops to translate business needs across diverse units into clear technical blueprints, system specifications, and architectural diagrams.
Design and own the integrated solution architecture, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability between standard Saa S platforms, a centrally managed CRM, customized investment operations systems, and new AI-driven health modules.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and risk registers, maintaining scope control while adapting to validated learnings from prototyping.
Collaborate with vendors and technical teams to implement a robust data aggregation layer for comprehensive operational dashboards.
Establish and govern technical processes for multi-level approvals, verification, and controls within critical workflows.
Act as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, external partners, and development teams.
Champion change management through user training, process documentation, and adoption initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience7+ years of combined experience in IT solutions architecture and project/program management, with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex, cross-functional business systems.
Demonstrated experience advising clients or stakeholders on technology selection (build vs.
buy, Saa S evaluation, integration strategy) for operational, CRM, and data-intensive systems.
Direct experience in the Financial Services sector, preferably with asset management, fund administration, or investment operations.
Expertise in managing phased, iterative implementations with a focus on MVP delivery and pragmatic scope management.
Strong background in business process mapping and redesign, with the ability to translate requirements into technical architecture.
Proficiency in designing scalable system integrations, data architectures, and API strategies.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a strong advantage.
Experience with prototyping tools and validation techniques to align stakeholder expectations.
Nice-to-Have Formal certification in enterprise or solutions architecture (e.g., TOGAF).
Experience implementing or integrating AI-driven solutions or health-tech systems.
Familiarity with crypto asset fund operations and accounting.
Knowledge of SAP frameworks, Salesforce, Hub Spot, or similar CRM platforms.
Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum).
Location and Working Arrangement This is a remote position with flexible working hours.
Must be available for scheduled virtual collaboration sessions and occasional on-site meetings in Hong Kong as required by project phases.
