Head of IT (60% Infra, 40% Application) | HKD 110 K - HKD 150 K / mth | Financial services Our client is seeking an experienced Head of IT to lead our organization's IT infrastructure and strategy. This role is critical in establishing a robust IT framework, ensuring network security, and developing policies that align with the client's business goals. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Setup: Design, implement, and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and reliable. Network Management: Oversee network architecture and security measures to protect organizational data and enhance performance. Policy Development: Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures that support business objectives and regulatory requirements. IT Strategy: Collaborate with the management team to formulate and communicate the IT strategy that aligns with the overall business strategy. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development. Risk Management: Identify potential IT risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity. Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to optimize costs and service delivery. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Experience: Over 18 years of working experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on infrastructure, network, and security. Proven track record of managing IT teams and projects in both infrastructure and applications. Experience in sell-side, exchange, settlement/clearing, or middle office operations would be an advantage. Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. In-depth knowledge of current IT trends, technologies, and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication in English; Cantonese/Chinese language skills would be an advantage but not essential. Candidates with experience setting up new teams/operations/divisions will be an advantage.
