This has been achieved through a strong focus on control, commerciality, and people. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls, and develop client relationships. This is an Associate level position within the Core Services, responsible for performing and managing product-agnostic and centralized operational services across several businesses and products. Read on…What you’ll do in the role: Risk and production management of the front to back processes executed in Hong Kong. People management of the Hong Kong team focusing on career development, training, succession planning, and recruitment. Driving process and technology enhancements to deliver increased STP rates and elimination of root causes within the front to back process. Communicating with external agents and internal business units; another essential component of the role is dealing with ad hoc requests from various Business Units across Morgan Stanley, e.g. Client Service Groups, Private Wealth Management, and Financial Controllers. Proactively look to improve the team's processes and enhance efficiency. Work closely with the team leads to achieve team goals as well as personal development goals. Client management providing first-class service to stakeholders across the Trading desks, Prime Brokerage, Other Operations teams, and Finance. Qualifications What you’ll bring to the role: At least 2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. Solid track record working within an operations environment. Ability to work well under pressure, lending control and order to difficult or pressurized situations. Ability to manage multiple issues and tasks effectively. Proven management experience, with skills in delegation, organization, and people management. Strong communication skills. Proactive team player who actively promotes sharing of knowledge. Prepared to work additional hours to meet deadlines with strong time management skills. High regard for attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Positive outlook, energy, and enthusiasm; a self-starter who takes ownership of work quality and improvement. Initiative and creativity, taking a long-term approach to improvement and resolution of issues. Self-confidence, integrity, and business-appropriate behavior. Ability to question a process and promote own ideas and solutions. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the department.
