Regional Compensation & Benefits Manager (Maternity Cover)Apply locations Kwun Tong, Hong Kong posted on Posted 25 Days Ago job requisition id UMG-18649 Role Summary The role will partner with People, Inclusion & Culture (PIC) leaders and team in the Greater China region & South East Asia & Korea region providing full support in relation to Compensation & Benefits initiatives and Payroll operations. The role will also participate in budget forecasting and payroll compliance exercises with the finance team. About the role Compensation Collaborate with the People, Inclusion & Culture (PIC) team to develop and maintain a competitive total rewards structure for the company based on market data and effective benchmarking. Manage and provide C&B services to review and develop programs and best practices such as annual salary review, annual budgeting and other reward-related activities, and develop salary structures across the region. Support the design and implementation of Global initiatives with the regional PIC team. Act as an internal consultant to the PIC team in the Greater China & South East Asia region on C&B related topics. Benefits Oversee employee benefits programs, including developing and implementing a local comprehensive benefits package to attract, retain, and motivate employees. Establish and maintain relationships with external providers. Manage annual review/renewal exercises of benefits programs with external brokers/providers and monitor overall benefits costs to assure competitive pricing for all benefits program components. Design and execute employee communications relating to benefits. Payroll Oversee payroll function to ensure timely and efficient payroll operations for 10 territories for UMG, UMP. Manage effectively the Payroll Outsourcing Regional Contacts and local agents (third-party vendors). Review and reconcile the monthly payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with local statutory requirements and internal control. Manage payroll bank processes in compliance with Global Treasury team requirements to ensure timely payment to employees. Manage third-party vendors to ensure timely statutory social insurances and tax filing on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. Execute global stock schemes with global PIC teams in compliance with local regulations. Responsible for payroll-related audits with external auditors and internal control assurance/internal audit. Budget & Payroll Forecasting Support the PIC team with preparation of Labour costs, Overheads, and Headcount reports for finance activities including annual budgeting and quarterly forecast requirements. Desirable Traits: University degree, preferably in a relevant field with HR related coursework.8+ years in relevant C&B roles. Strong knowledge of employment laws; multi-country experience in Asia preferred. Demonstrate strong attention to detail (critical) and able to query/identify inconsistencies and challenge ideas constructively. Able to work independently yet possess a strong teamwork ethos. Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Strong written, communication, and presentation skills. Strong technical skills in Excel and Power Point. Can-do attitude, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and able to work under pressure. Able to deliver on time. Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese including Putonghua.
