The Senior Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role leads and delivers a wide range of Data & Analytics initiatives, including insights and advanced dashboarding, reporting, statistical modeling, machine learning, data quality management, automation, and strategic tool development. As part of a central analytics team, the Senior Data Analyst partners with cross-functional departments within the insurance and healthcare entities (e.g., Marketing, Pricing, Claims, Medical, Finance, Product, Operations, Sales, etc.), with an initial focus on the insurance business. The role also contributes to mentoring junior analysts and shaping data strategy. Responsibilities Lead data initiatives including data extraction, transformation, and visualization to support strategic business decisions. Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards and automated reporting pipelines, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and performance. Conduct complex statistical analyses and predictive modeling to uncover insights in areas such as customer acquisition, healthcare utilization, pricing strategies, and customer behavior etc. Develop and oversee end-user tools to support business functions such as campaign management, benchmarking, simulators, etc. Translate analytical findings into actionable insights, delivering clear presentations and reports to stakeholders at all levels. Collaborate with business leaders to define KPIs, monitor performance, and evaluate the impact of initiatives such as marketing campaigns and operational changes. Monitor and evaluate ongoing initiatives’ effectiveness and impact (e.g. marketing campaigns)Mentor junior analysts, providing guidance on best practices in data analysis, visualization, and communication. Qualifications, Training and Experience Degree holder would be preferred in relevant field (Information management, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial science, etc.)4 to 7 years of professional experience in hands-on data roles, with focus on data insights and analytics. Experience in insurance, healthcare, tech, consulting, agency companies or data-related roles would be appreciated Technical skills: Coding knowledge or experience of the following is desirable: Database management (preferably SQL Server), Data engineering skills (at least basic level of SQL), Dashboard design / business intelligence (preferably Power BI), Statistical/machine learning scripting skills (preferably Python / Py Spark) and, Cloud environment and pipeline (preferably Data Bricks or Azure Data Factory). Proficient on Excel and good command of remaining MS office suite (Power Point, etc.)Theory knowledge or experience of the following is desirable: Insurance business acumen (Reserving, Pricing, KPIs, etc.), Healthcare business acumen (Medical, Wellness, etc.)Digital Marketing and e-Commerce (Funnel, acquisition metrics., etc.)Familiarity with the following is appreciated: Version control and collaboration tools and best practices (Azure Dev Ops preferred)Dev Ops/Git coding practices High level of integrity, trust and servicing mindset Empathy, positivity, interpersonal skills and sharing mindset Sensitivity and attention to graphic details / visuals are appreciated Business fluency in English, good command of Cantonese and/or Mandarin is appreciated Bupa offers 5 days’ work per week and comprehensive remuneration packages including base salary, study assistance plan, company pension plan, life and medical benefit, dental benefit, annual leave, examination leave, etc. Bupa is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from qualified candidates.
