Job Description The Senior IT Architect / IT Architect (Application) is responsible for providing strategic technical directions, design and implementation principle on Application, API and Microservice architecture to the Bank.
The right candidate becomes a member of our IT Architect Office which is the technical authority to govern, design and build enterprise-level architecture for the Bank.
Job responsibilities Build Enterprise Application Architecture to align with the technology roadmaps of the Bank.
Define end-to-end IT strategy, standard and process, establish framework and operation model for API-led and Microservices architecture applications on cloud-based and container platform.
Develop and maintain architecture principles, standards and best practices related to enterprise architectures, and ensure they are consistently applied.
Facilitate legacy applications transformation to new API platform and Microservice architecture.
Standardize CI/CD setup for Dev Sec Ops, API management tools and automated deployment with API monitoring and service management mechanisms.
Identify, evaluate and manage the associated risks related to Application and Cloud architecture.
Research, identify, and evaluate new technologies or products in the related area that are of value to IT strategy.
Provide advisories for technology innovations for business challenges.
Experience and Qualifications Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines.
At least 10 years of post-qualification IT experience with minimum 5 years in Application Architect related roles, preferably in banking or financial services industries.
Strong experience in managing enterprise IT application architecture, and providing advisories for technical solution of various IT projects and applications of the Bank.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT application architectures, particularly in Iaa S, Paa S, Saa S enterprise cloud computing and containerized architectures and technology.
Experience in working with Kubernetes container platform, Cloud platform, Git Lab, CI/CD pipeline is a plus.
Experience in digital transformation, transforming from Monolithic to Microservice application, Domain Driven Design (DDD) is a great plus.
Good understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF.
Good knowledge of emerging technologies, market best practices and industry trends.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
Proven strategic thinker to provide big picture and visions for future technology development.
Self-motivated, open mindsets, good problem solving and troubleshooting skills with strong "can-do" attitude.
Holder of related professional certificates will be an added advantage.
Candidates with less experience will be considered as IT Architect.
