Because we owe it to our people, or clients and the worldAbout the opportunity: The Weber Shandwick Office is currently seeking a Senior Manager/Manager for its Healthcare Practice.Acting as a main contact for client, Managers oversee and manage daily PR activities including press release, interviews, reports, etc. Proactively build up and maintain relationship with top tier telecom and biz media, and track media opportunities and recommend internally/ to client. Generate high quality, on-time deliverables to our client.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Client service, client relations and projects managementContribute to development of client tactical plans and cross-community implementation activitiesSuccessfully manage client expectations by ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standardsDevelop initial client communications, key messaging and related materialsBuild client relationships, confidence and trust (at executional level). Keep client programmes on schedule and ensure all deadliness are metStructure long term plans and program recommendations for clientsEarn the confidence of mid-to-senior level client contacts and other executives with a client’s organizationProactively handle client problems quickly and adeptlyManage team works and ensure all deliverables meet client’s expectationDemonstrate a well-developed knowledge of client relevant industry and mediaDrive the development of appropriate public relations strategy and programsTeam management and finance managementAct as key contact for internal account staff to address issuesTrain and motivate team membersManage account staff group profitabilityConduct performance reviewsCreate opportunities for team members to enhance growth with agencyTrack team results against client’s goalsAttend account reviews and staff meetings – provide ongoing communications and feedbackEnsure account team members adhere to agency time reporting and financial guidelinesParticipate in systems improvementInvolved in staffing of team including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidatesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree, with at least 5 years or more experience in communications, marketing, media, digital or content develop experience.Interest/ experience in marketing/ PR communications within the healthcare/ pharmaceutical industry Can turn ideas into workable plansCapacity to convey ownership of assigned projects to junior team membersCan solve conflictCan mobilize and motivate teamsCan work independently and as part of a teamAptitude for financial analysisCan complete challenging projects within set parametersExceptional judgment when working with team members, client contacts and vendorsCommitment and dedication to the agency’s success as well as individual careerCan anticipate client and team needsAttention to detail and qualityNote from the teamWeber Shandwick is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
