The Company We are partnering with a leading, well-established financial institution to recruit a key member for their Enterprise Risk Management team.
This role offers a central position in maturing the firm's risk culture, with a primary focus on embedding and enhancing the Operational Risk Management Framework.
The Role Support the maintenance, enhancement, and implementation of the firm-wide operational risk management framework, including its policies, procedures, and toolkit for risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and control reviews to identify emerging operational risks and contribute to the development of pragmatic mitigation strategies.
Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and ensure the timely identification and escalation of material risk issues to senior governance committees.
Play a key role in preparing and presenting regular risk reports for senior management and board-level risk committees.
Collaborate with business units and support functions to integrate robust operational risk practices into daily processes and strategic decision-making.
Support the rollout of strategic risk management projects and initiatives.
Assist in developing and delivering training to foster a strong risk-aware culture across the organization.
Keep abreast of evolving regulatory expectations and industry best practices in risk management.
Your Profile Bachelor's degree or higher in Risk Management, Finance, Accountancy, Business, or a related discipline.
Professional qualifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, HKICPA, ACCA) are highly regarded.
Approximately 5-6 years of relevant experience in operational risk management, gained within a large financial services organization (e.g., banking, insurance, asset management) or a top-tier consultancy .
Solid understanding of operational risk management frameworks (e.g., based on COSO, ISO and standard risk tools (RCSA, KI/KRIs, loss data collection).
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes.
A practical, problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate theory into actionable plans.
Familiarity with the financial services regulatory landscape in Hong Kong/Asia.
High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Power Point); experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
Strong business writing and presentation skills in English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua is beneficial.
