Job Purpose: To support Tai Po Emergency Operation, this position assists the Assistant Manager (AM) or Deputy Manager (Local Disaster Relief, LDR) in the execution of plans related to the above-mentioned emergency response, as well as contribute to institutional response preparedness in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the AM(LDR) and execute local relief operation plans related to the above-mentioned emergency response in Hong Kong Coordinate team members and volunteers in the operation, including local emergency assessment, relief operations planning and implementation Support the implementation of local emergency operations according to LDRT's mobilization mechanism and Agency's emergency response mechanism as required Support to develop and maintain a competent volunteer team as resource to be mobilized for local disaster response Assist the AM(LDR) to handle the administrative and financial records, prepare reports, procurement and inventory management in timely and accurate manner Perform emergency operations duty for urgent enquiries and emergency call out, during holidays, non-office hours or extreme weather, if deems necessary Requirements: Completion of HKCEE/ HKDSE (minimum five passes, including English, Chinese and Mathematics) equivalent or above2 years' relevant working experience, preferably with emergency response and frontline service to community members experience Solid track record of success in operation and frontline community service planning Experience in emergency response in humanitarian context, or experience in working under incident command system (ICS) is a definite asset Possess of First Aid Certificate is an advantage Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua)Mature, independent, responsible, self-motivated, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and under pressure Holder of HKSAR Driving license preferred Contract period: 2 months' contract Please send application together with full curriculum vitae and expected salary to the Head of Human Resources Development, Hong Kong Red Cross, 9/F Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters, 19 Hoi Ting Road, West Kowloon, HK or email to Personal data provided by job applicants will be used strictly in accordance with Agency's data protection policy for recruitment purposes only.
