Li Ka Shing School of Professional & Continuing Education (Li PACE)The Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education (Li PACE) is one of the seven constituent schools of Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Originally established in 1992 as the Centre for Continuing and Community Education (CCCE) and renamed as Li PACE in 2000, it has carried out its original mission of serving the broadest range of learners in HK. Li PACE is now an established Vocational Professional Education and Training (VPET) provider of full-time post-secondary education and part-time professional and continuing education as well as corporate training. At the same time, it advances non-formal learning through its two flagship programmes for women and senior learners, the Capacity Building Mileage Programme (CBMP) and Elderly Academy at Hong Kong Metropolitan University (EAMU). Over the years, Li PACE has developed into an established and mature post-secondary, continuing and professional education provider which makes an important contribution to the University. We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Li PACE: Job School/Unit School/Unit: Li Ka Shing School of Professional and Continuing Education Closing Date Closing Date: 21/Jan/2025, 3:59:00 PMMajor Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Leading a team to ensure efficient daily operations in general administration, Information Technology, Human Resources and Finance; Keeping staff abreast about HRO’s policies, guidelines and training opportunities; Coaching and supervising general support staff in daily operations according to the School’s policies and guidelines; Maintaining records and generating regular administrative reports; Serving as a Secretary for relevant committees and working groups; and Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean (Li PACE) or his/her nominee. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in general administration in postsecondary education setting; Demonstrated ability to work independently and with service mindset; Good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and Proficiency in IT applications. Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
