As part of Asia Pacific Payroll Organisation, this role manages the payroll finance function for Hong Kong / Macau and is accountable for end to end payroll, compliance and reporting processes, collaborating closely with Compensation and Benefit, HR, and cross-functional and regional teams to implement new systems and policies. This role serves as the focal point to liaise with internal/external auditors, government agencies, payroll providers, tax, and social security authorities. The candidate should have a mindset for continuous improvement, drive to harmonise country policies and procedures, and strengthen controls to align with the global governance model. Manage full spectrum of payroll activities for Hong Kong and Macau, month end close for compensation and benefit accounting, ORSO/MPF pension contribution, social security fund contribution, local and global mobility tax matters. Liaise with payroll vendors, process and review payroll reports, and perform reconciliations, ensuring legislative compliance. Manage monthly, annual, and periodic filings of statutory payment submissions. Manage statutory audit and payroll compliance activities. Lead business process streamlining and re-engineering of work efficiency, improve governance and controls. Strong collaboration with cross-functional and regional teams to provide expertise on payroll matters. Qualification and Experience4 years of experience in payroll, employment tax, pension, and accounting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong working knowledge of HK, MAC statutory regulations, employment ordinance, and policies related to payroll. Experience in HRIS, payroll software solutions, and Microsoft applications. Experience with implementation of payroll processes on an industry-recognised payroll solution (Payroll & Time/attendance system) is an added advantage. Proficiency in English and local language.
