Career Level: Senior (5+ years of experience)Financial Controller, Asia (based in Taipei, Taiwan)Job Responsibilities The Finance Controller is responsible for leading the Taiwan finance function of a global technology company with corporate offices in the United States. Report directly to the corporate controller with a dotted line report to the President of the Taiwan Branch. Lead Taiwan finance team of approximately seven employees. Manage daily accounting operations including A/R, AP, treasury, and cost functions. Responsible for overseeing month-end close process including the closing of multiple ledgers and reporting of results to the corporate office located in the USA. Oversee cost accounting function for company manufacturing process. Coordinate the completion of annual audit by outside audit firm. Responsible for preparing annual budget and monthly forecasting for the Asia Pacific region. Work closely with Taiwan management team, Asia Pacific sales and marketing team, and corporate office. Coordinate tax filings and inquiries/audits with Taiwan tax authority as well as other Asia Pacific locations as needed. Maintain and manage banking relationships including borrowing covenants. Provide financial support and leadership to the region as needed. Requirements CPA or CPA equivalent in Taiwan. English speaking with strong interpersonal skills. Proven leadership skills to guide and build finance team. Must be able to partner effectively with other non-finance leaders in the business. International exposure (China, India, Australia, Japan, etc.). Strong analytical skills and Excel experience. Cost accounting experience. JD Edwards ERP system experience a plus.
