Strategic Procurement Manager - IT, Asia A world renowned MNC is seeking a Strategic Procurement Manager to manage IT sourcing for Asia Pacific. The key mandate is to develop commodity sourcing strategies to drive and execute global and regional sourcing initiatives to achieve stakeholders’ goals effectively. Responsibilities: Achieve year-on-year improvements in total cost of ownership, quality, and service. Define business requirements by collaborating with business partners from different affiliates. Develop RFI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s as required by commodity strategy and supplier negotiation tactics. Manage the procurement to pay process from strategy execution through to supplier management to effectively manage the three core elements of cost, service & risk. Perform supplier/spend categorization and analysis to enable meaningful reporting. Conduct assessment of business unit current and future needs, analysis of market trends and potential suppliers, analysis of total cost of ownership and opportunities to leverage changes in processes, systems, products/services, etc. Provide supplier market intelligence to business as a part of strategy communication. Measure and track internal performance within each commodity and define budgetary impact. Enable suppliers & drive transactions through e-procurement solution (where SAP system is used). Monitor and review supplier performance, develop long-term supplier collaboration. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree. Strategic sourcing experience – 5 years minimum. Effective commercial/contractual skills and strong influencing skills. Ability to work in a stressful commercial environment to tight schedules. Ability to handle uncertainty, fragmented data. Delivery focus with project management skills. CPM/CIPS Professional Membership is preferred (Certified Purchasing Manager/ Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply).
