The purpose of this role is to both validate product specific costs and perform comparative cost analytics and benchmarking across the Under Armour supply base. Teammates in this role will use their industry knowledge and analytic skills to ensure Under Armour is paying a competitive price for its apparel and accessories products by reviewing cost breakdowns, BOMs and macro data. This role enables the broader costing organization to quickly prioritize actionable areas and achieve product margin targets. Your Impact Manage seasonal routine of Cost study to ensure costing consistency, cost improvement across cost components, and apply advanced knowledge of product costing to provide saving options to Sourcing Op. in Baltimore. Cost sheet submission tracking with vendor for on-time cost sheet submission and management in the system for manual change status to ensure costing readiness for PO issuance and seasonal margin review. Support and manage target cost setting and cost exercise for resource, multi-country source for T1 suppliers to develop the cost control mechanism, follow up, data validation and manage the saving tracker to provide insight to manager. Maintenance of different reports, databases and analytics tools, to increase transparency in costing and to sustain costing performance and support sourcing strategy. Act as gatekeeper to ensure that all costing frameworks, standards, processes, policies, and systems are understood and consistently applied in the region as global. Identify continuous improvement opportunities for cost in any cost driver/components, particularly related to SMV for cost optimization. Provide costing leadership with insights and observations on cost driver/components trend and vendor competitiveness using systematic costing and benchmarking approach. Support and execute global costing strategy or any ad hoc request.
