About the Role
We are currently seeking to appoint highly motivated and talented Interior Designers to join our studio in Hong Kong. If you have an impressive design portfolio and are passionate about working on exciting international projects in a dynamic design‑led environment we would love to hear from you.
Key Objectives
To become an integral member of a project team and provide as much support as possible in preparation of interior design and construction documents
To develop and coordinate the design requirements for an assigned portion of a project and assist the seniors with design presentations
To enhance personal knowledge of interior design and gain “hands on” experience in the various stages of a project’s development
Key Responsibilities
Interior Designer
Prepare interior design and construction drawings in accordance with company standards and within project deadlines
Develop design concepts, space planning layouts, and design details for assigned project components
Conduct design and material research appropriate to project requirements
Assist in the preparation of design presentations, reports, and material boards
Contribute to the development of models and visualization outputs in line with project needs
Provide design input, problem‑solving support, and general production assistance to the Project Leader and Senior Designers
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to support design development and documentation
Participate in consultant coordination meetings and gain partial on‑site experience as required
Assist in ensuring design intent is maintained through all stages of the project
Carry out other duties consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the Interior Designer role
Continual development of interior design understanding and awareness
Become involved in as many interior design and construction studies, investigations, coordination meetings and design workshops as possible
To become involved with a variety of the aspects within a project, and become familiar with contracts, programme and project management
Gain an understanding of the expectations of the profession as well as gaining exposure to the overall industry
Continue to add to your professional portfolio, ensuring to document the most impressive aspects of your contributions
Proactive team member
Become an effective and efficient team member, someone that the team can rely on
Possess a flexible working attitude and work well within the team environment
Proactively demonstrate knowledge and skills acquired at university
What do we need from you
Qualifications
Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an internationally recognised university
Min. 2 years+ working experience, experience in relevant disciplines will also be considered
Experience in conceptual design and space planning for retail projects preferable
Design flair and the ability to present concept ideas
Self‑motivated, independent and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Sound knowledge of Sketch Up, Rhino and Enscape
Fluent in English and Chinese
Senior positions require strong client management skills with proven experience in directing small teams and delivering quality design whilst working to tight deadlines
Less experienced candidates will be considered as Assistant Interior Designers, while candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Interior Designers
