Report to Head of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Formulate strategy and roadmap to build, deliver, operate and maintain best-in-class data centre environment for supporting 7x24 data centre operations. Develop, implement and maintain governance, policy, standards and procedures in connection with ICT operations and data centre critical facility management to align with ICT and data centre industry standards, regulations, security safeguards and good practices. Serve as a subject matter expert to provide professional advice on the ICT and data centre operations and management, technical and security requirements for supporting 7x24 data centre operations. Lead and manage 7x24 ICT and data centre operations to achieve agreed service levels such as customer helpdesk support, change management, incident management, monitoring and escalation, data backup, etc. Lead and manage data centre facilities such as power distribution, cooling, UPS, backup generator power, fire system and water leak prevention, HVAC, structured cabling and computing racks. Manage and maintain IT asset inventory within data centres. Prepare and manage data centre operations budget, track expenses, identify opportunities for cost optimization and review operational costs. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the data centre requirements; stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements to optimise data centre operations. Manage and maintain contractual agreements associated with data centre operations, evaluate effectiveness and quality of service delivery, manage relationships with service providers. Monitor, analyse and report operational and security events and alerts; manage and respond to data centre incidents and breaches. Assess and mitigate risks associated with data centre operations to achieve business continuity, security safeguard and operational resilience; develop and maintain emergency response plans such as contingency plans for power outages, natural disasters, cybersecurity breaches and other potential disruptions. Evaluate the effectiveness and service quality of data centre operations, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions whenever necessary. Prepare management information, key performance indicators and reports related to data centre operations to facilitate management decision making. Job Requirement10+ year proven experience as a Data Centre Operation Specialist or similar role in a large scale 24x7 data center environment. Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, engineering, information and communication technology related fields. Strong expertise in ICT operations and data centre management, preferably in a high-performance computing and large-scale 24x7 data center environment. Proven experience in managing ICT operations, data centre facilities, IT infrastructure and equipment to support 7x24 data centre operations. Experience in managing contractual agreements associated with data centre operations and maintaining relationships with service providers. Experience in managing data centre budgets, asset inventory management. Familiarity with ICT operations and data centre facility management software, security protection and defence tool sets, IT service management platform to maintain data centre operations. Knowledge of ICT operations and data centre industry standards, regulations, security safeguards and good practices such as ITIL, Uptime Institute standard, TIA-942, ISO27001, incident and problem management, business contingency planning, operational resilience and site disaster management. Excellent problem-solving abilities to analyse and address complex performance, availability, security and scalability challenges to achieve agreed service levels. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and rapidly evolving technological landscape. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and subject domain experts. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese. Candidate with more experience will be considered as Director of Data Centre Operations.
