Responsibilities There is an open position at Société Générale to join our APAC team of experienced individuals in structuring. This role is for a junior finance professional who: Has some experience and already developed knowledge in structured investment and financing solutions, Has the ability to coordinate efficiently with different parts of the bank, including support functions, Has a curious and open mind, combined with a rigorous approach to project management and implementation. As the role involves the structuring of complex and innovative solutions, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to understand legal format and structure for complex or flow transactions. As part of the Documentation & Issuance Platform team within the Cross Asset Structuring team, they will support APAC sales as follows: Main missions are: Product validation & advisory: Produce or review trade documentation relating to structured products sold by SG (Term sheets, Info sheets, and Final terms) at the request of sales located in APAC; Coordinate/Organize the documentation writing (managing priorities, anticipating the workload according to trades complexity and deadlines, controlling timeliness and issuing chain quality); Ensure that transactions and related issuance documentation are lawful and compliant with SG business principles and SG internal rules; Obtain validations from the various departments of the bank in accordance with the relevant procedures; Provide daily support to Sales and clients when questions arise on trade documentation or SG issuances more broadly (e.g., feasibility, status of notes, etc.). Documentation automation: Be an active contributor to the roadmap of the documentation automation platform in APAC by: Templating trade documentation, providing specifications for IT teams to implement with a view of automating trades. When doing so, organizing the validation process and testing the solution with relevant internal teams; Ensuring priorities and implementation timelines are followed in partnership with internal stakeholders; Working alongside tactical dev teams to implement the most commonly traded templates in existing or new documentation generator tools. Issuance platforms: Monitor platform maintenance (including programme updates and lifecycle events management); Lead or contribute to governance meetings related to those issuance platforms; Design platforms, solutions, products, services, and tools for clients, taking into account, in particular, the accounting and regulatory/prudential angles for both SG and clients. Profile required: Master's degree in Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Law, or similar;2-3 years of experience working in-house in a similar position at an international investment bank; Fluent in English & Chinese Mandarin; Knowledge in VBA/Excel or other documentary information systems. Knowledge in Thunderhead/Smart DX platform is a plus; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to use market information databases such as Bloomberg; Strong communication and presentation skills; Excellent organizational skills; Highly motivated and able to work autonomously; Flexible and adaptable; Good team player with the ability to drive initiatives cross-departmentally for a common goal; Self-motivated, responsible, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Transparency, respect for others, and ability to work within a team, contributing actively to trade execution; Ability to understand/learn the financial, legal, regulatory, and fiscal problems relating to the structuring and sale of structured solutions; Ability to acquire good knowledge of the different asset class products (credit, fixed income, forex, equities, commodities, indices, and structures/wrappers commonly used (e.g., SPVs, OTCs, funds). Flexible, organized, and pragmatic, with excellent analytical skills and a creative and curious mind. Able to learn quickly about different subjects for which they may not be a specialist. Their relationship skills and team spirit will be major assets in a demanding international environment.
