Responsibilities
The role of the Functional Architect is responsible for working complex projects ensuring delivery of software solution will be aligned with standardized AXA and business goals as well as contributing to the investigation of user requirements/problems and define and implement IT solutions which satisfy business needs for High Net Worth (HNW) Insurance business:
Contribute to the translation of business requirements into technical solution options
Contribute to the development of functional specifications which meet the client’s needs.
Undertake ST/SIT testing to ensure local applications meet specifications and assist in the resolution of identified problems.
Contribute to providing problem resolution and user support.
Discovery – Discovering the underlying business need to be addressed and information related to the product and project requirements, often.
Analysing Requirements – Organizing, specifying and modelling the requirements (Function & Non-Function) to ensure they are complete and unambiguous.
Specifying Requirements – Documenting the requirements in a format that can be shared with stakeholders.
Validating and Verifying Requirements – Ensuring the requirements map to the real business need, are approved by all relevant stakeholders, and meet essential quality standards.
Analysing Solutions – Determining the solutions to the problems and improve the application when appropriate.
Qualifications
Typically require a tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or related field
Proven 8+ year’s professional experience as a Leadership role in IT filed.
8+ years as a Business System Analyst or IT Job-related.
Relevant experience on insurance or other financial services is preferred
Experience leading, managing and coaching under-performing and high-flying staff.
Proven ability to undertake and manage large scale complex IT projects independently
Relevant experience on life insurance or other financial services
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to create strong working relationships with others
Well organised and results-driven individual
Effective interpersonal skills
