Our client is a key player in the commodity trading industry and seeking for a talented legal professional or join the team.
Responsibilities: Legal Document Review: Analyze and provide legal insights on international trade contracts, performance documents, and legal materials related to cross-border M&A projects under common law.
International Trade Dispute Resolution: Manage litigation, arbitration, and potential disputes in international trade involving foreign counterparties or cross-border transactions.
This includes evidence collection, negotiation, strategy development, hearings, and enforcement.
Investment Project Management: Offer legal assistance for overseas investment initiatives, including conducting due diligence, reviewing transaction documents, and drafting legal opinions.
Overseas Compliance Management: Lead and promote compliance initiatives related to export controls, antitrust regulations, and other cross-border compliance issues.
Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the department.
Requirements: A minimum of 3 years of legal experience in large corporations or reputable law firms.
Experience in commodity trading is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Law, Legal Studies, International Trade, or a related field.
Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (e.g., Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK, or the US), with expertise in international trade, cross-border investment, and a comprehensive understanding of global trade regulations.
Knowledge of corporate legal affairs management, capable of addressing both litigation and non-litigation matters, with substantial experience in cross-border legal challenges.
High energy, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, and willingness to travel internationally.
