Responsibilities Act as a key advisor to the Branch on legal risk Oversee and manage all litigation matters, instructing external counsel effectively to protect the Bank’s interest and reputation Lead the drafting, negotiation and review of commercial contracts Organize and provide training on legal matters to staff Coordinate with Head Office and overseas branches to ensure the practice of the Branch remain in line with the bank-wide legal standard Work closely with the compliance function to evaluate the legal impact of compliance issues, ensuring that regulatory issues are addressed with sound legal solutions Requirements Hong Kong qualified lawyer with at least 8-10 years of PQEPrior experience in the banking or finance industry or knowledge in banking is highly preferred Knowledge in ISDA documentation is a huge advantage Experience and knowledge in commercial litigation is essential Possess excellent contract drafting and interpretation skills Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage)Attractive remuneration and fringe benefits will be offered to the successful candidate.
