The House has made strategic investments in Data & Analytics initiatives and capabilities, with the creation of a Regional Data Platform serving Analytics needs across data domains, including CHANEL divisional and corporate needs. Leveraging these investments, we need to ensure that our Data initiatives are closely following our business strategy. In this context, we are looking for a talented Product Owner to be a key business representative and advocate for the Data Platform. Working in close collaboration with Technology & Digital Services (T&DS) as well as the Data Analytics, Governance and Process team, you will ensure business stakeholders are engaged, define and communicate the Data Platform roadmap, verify that business requirements are clear, and ensure data / process issues are raised and addressed. As a Data & Analytics Product Owner, you will be responsible for business onboarding, alignment, engagement, and facilitation with the aim to maximize the value of the Data Platform. You will be a key driver in defining, consolidating, and prioritizing business use cases for implementation by the Data Platform and Reporting teams. You will develop a deep understanding of CHANEL’s organization and stakeholders, and build strong relationships with the business, across the region and business domains. You will act as a business lead for the future Data Platform, and become a key influencer to drive mobilization, alignment, and governance on data, KPI, and reports across APAC. Partnering with the T&DS Head of Program – Data, Analytics and AI, you will ensure Data & Analytics is tackled as a cross-functional topic for the House. Your role will involve understanding the business requirements specific to CHANEL's operations in the APAC region and translating them into actionable Data & Analytics initiatives. By leading the creation of these data products and solutions, you will promote data-enabled decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities:1. Business leadership: engage with the right business stakeholders to onboard them, and to align/influence on who/how/when to engage key members from their teams. Engage and communicate with Market and Regional Leadership teams on progress and key decisions, in collaboration with the T&DS team.2. Data & Analytics landscape: analyze the different sources of data used by different business communities and lead the analysis of business processes and related KPIs. Partner with T&DS team to understand current use cases / scenarios across current Data / BI platforms and tools. Align with relevant stakeholders on transition approach from these tools to the new platform.3. Business alignment: lead discussions with the Business Operations Committee to facilitate decision-making around Data & Analytics topics and resolve data/ process issues – onboarding the business to understand and resolve root causes.4. Use Case Definition: collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and IT teams, to understand business requirements across all functions. Define Data & Analytics use cases that align with these requirements.5. Requirements Gathering: working with business analysts, elicit and document detailed requirements for data products, analytics solutions, and reporting dashboards. Ensure clarity and completeness of requirements to facilitate efficient development and implementation.6. Consolidation and Prioritization: analyze and consolidate business use cases, considering their strategic value, impact on CHANEL's operations, technical complexity, and alignment with the company's overall goals. Arbitrate and communicate on final prioritization. Develop and maintain a product roadmap for Data & Analytics initiatives in Asia Pacific. Ensure alignment with CHANEL's overarching Data & Analytics strategy and effectively communicate the roadmap to stakeholders.7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: work closely with T&DS, the Data Analytics, Governance & Process team, and other relevant stakeholders to drive the delivery of prioritized use cases. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather feedback, provide updates, and manage expectations throughout the development process.8. Agile Project Management: apply Agile methodologies to manage the development lifecycle of Data & Analytics initiatives. Collaborate with Scrum teams to refine user stories, prioritize backlogs, and track progress, ensuring timely and successful delivery.9. Quality Assurance: define acceptance criteria and conduct thorough quality assurance activities to ensure that Data products and Analytics solutions provided by T&DS meet CHANEL's requirements while adhering to Data Governance and quality standards.10. Stakeholder Management: build strong relationships with stakeholders across CHANEL APAC, including CHANEL Divisions, Corporate functions, IT teams, and executive leadership. Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Data & Analytics, providing guidance and support as needed.11. Continuous Improvement: identify opportunities for process improvements, streamlining, and innovation in Data & Analytics practices, keeping up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Data Analytics and Governance.Role Specifications: Academic/Professional Qualifications University degree or equivalent Work ExperienceMinimum 8 years’ experience with at least 4 years of direct experience in Data.Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with a strong emphasis on Data & Analytics, preferably in the luxury retail industry or a related field.Fluent in English is required and fluent in Mandarin or other Asian language is an advantageRequired CompetenciesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Strong understanding of the Retail and/or Luxury industries, and ability to understand and advise relevant business use cases for Data & Analytics.Proficiency in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in an agile development environment.Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.Solid understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data quality best practices.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.Familiarity with data visualization tools, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions.Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure) and data warehousing concepts is a plus.Experience working in the Asia Pacific region or across multiple countries is desirable.
