Conduct FTO searches, prior art searches using commercial patent analytic database and provide go around strategy to avoid infringement risks and analyses on patentability; Review and amend invention disclosures from inventors and coordinate with patent attorneys for patent drafting and filing; Handle office actions, refusals and re-examination notices from IP offices; Manage external patent firms to increase patent granting ratio and broaden patent claims’ scope; Manage external translation firms to improve translation quality in cost effective manner; Assist top management to finalize patent filing strategies and portfolio maintenance strategies; Draft and reviewtransactional IP matters such as assignments, licenses and supplier agreements and NDA having IP provisions to secure the best interests of the company; Supervise trademark searches and filings, Customs registration. Job Requirements Candidates should be degree holders, preferably in law or science related disciplines. They should have at least 5-year experience in Patent and IP practice and have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); Familiarity with patent analytic databases for strategic IP management. Good interpersonal and communication skills; They should also be highly self-motivated, cautious, well-organized, capable of independent in-depth research with minimum supervision.
