Join to apply for the Manager, Compliance, Hong Kong (Associate level) role at Santander This role is responsible for overall governance and reporting of compliance matters in the region (Hong Kong and Singapore) to local/regional management and head office. It involves handling general compliance matters, executing compliance monitoring and controls, providing compliance advice, conducting risk and control assessments on compliance risks for HK Branch, and handling company secretary matters. Key Responsibilities Manage general compliance matters, including communication with supervisory authorities, ensuring timely dissemination of regulator communications, and completing regulatory submissions/filings accurately and on time. Execute and supervise compliance monitoring and controls, such as monitoring Personal Account Dealing, Licensing, professional training, anti-corruption, and bribery measures. Coordinate with various bank departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requests, conduct self-assessments and surveys with authorities like HKMA, SFC, DPB, and implement new regulatory requirements. Supervise handling of HK Branch and employee licensing matters, ensuring proper registration and compliance with licensing requirements (e.g., CPD/CPT). Compile, review, and consolidate management reports for Head Office, local/regional management, and committees covering HK and Singapore for FCC, general, and regulatory compliance. Handle company secretary responsibilities, including liaising with Head Office. Design and deliver compliance training, including induction, refresher, and ad hoc sessions, collaborating with HR and Head Office to ensure proper rollout. Manage compliance policies, procedures, and broadcasts. Coordinate committee papers and meetings, and oversee regional compliance activities as needed. Basic Requirements Over 5 years of compliance experience within a bank or financial institution. Knowledge of HKMA and SFC regulations. Excellent communication skills; proficiency in English, Cantonese, and preferably Mandarin. A team player with good interpersonal skills.
