Manager, Strategic Supply Chain 2 – Celestica
Overview
Celestica’s Global Supply Chain operates as a unified virtual system, partnering with customers and suppliers worldwide to deliver integrated, flexible solutions supported by a global technology platform and a dedicated team.
Responsibilities
Maintain responsibility for projects developed by Celestica’s Global Design Services organization.
Provide direction for source selection and ensure proper process implementation.
Lead Commodity Management teams to ensure negotiations meet business requirements and growth plans.
Lead the supply chain management process for customers from material pricing and BOM analysis to delivery execution and flexibility performance.
Quote and negotiate critical high‑dollar or strategic commodities and provide the direction to a team of commodity managers; analyze costed customer bids or quarterly BOM costing exercises for global customers.
Work with the Global Design team to optimize design for supply‑chain performance of Celestica products.
Provide direction to Commodity Management Teams on contract negotiations.
Support quarterly business reviews with customers and with senior management at key/strategic suppliers.
Lead process development and development of commodity strategies.
Qualifications
Expert knowledge of marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand, and emerging trends.
Excellent understanding of global business environment and customers’ business, organization, products, and processes.
Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
Expert knowledge of office systems and analytical tools.
Expert problem‑solving skills to deal with customer/supplier issues.
Ability to evaluate, prioritize, and problem‑solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers/customers to achieve Celestica’s goals.
Physical Demands
Duties are performed in a normal office environment.
Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detail.
